I am a writer, photographer and broadcaster. I write about all aspects of digital photography—hardware, software, books, exhibitions etc—for the Livewire technology section in the Melbourne Age and the Sydney Morning Herald.

I post my articles on my blog at dpexpert.com.au

I have been interested in photography since I was twelve years old and have experience in the darkroom, developing and printing photos in black and white and colour. These days, with digital imaging, I prefer to work with the lights on, using Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom for processing my photos.

My personal interest is mainly in portraiture. Samples of my portraits can be found at terrylane.info/photos/Portraits

My gear consists of a Canon 5D MkII, a Nikon D300 and Olympus E-P3, OMD E-M10 and OMD E-M5 cameras and a Sony a7. I have several lenses for each of these cameras with a preference for primes.
